By guessing you are priming your brain for learning, which will help you remember the meaning more easily. It doesn’t matter if your guess is wrong, the key is to exercise your brain by guessing.

    This proverb means that doing things in the right order is important, e.g. you can’t eat a cake before you bake it.

    Yes exactly, Katrin. It also implies that we can’t get ahead of ourselves in our thinking or planning, somewhat like “Don’t count your chickens before they hatch.”

    I think this proverb means that we have to do everything in a correct order. We can do the next order if the previous order has shown the result.
