By guessing you are priming your brain for learning, which will help you remember the meaning more easily. It doesn’t matter if your guess is wrong, the key is to exercise your brain by guessing.

    This proverb means that we know nothing about the character of a person by just looking at her/him. I person might look glamorous but have a shallow character. Moreover, we do not know what something is like by just looking at its appearance.
