This is a great use of the proverb. To make it sound more natural we would add the word “his” before the word “chickens.” …I told him not to count his chickens before they hatch.
I think this proverb probably means that we should not be too quick to make future plans until what we are expecting really happen
Yes Nia, we should not make plans based on things that have not yet happened, because things can change.
